Blank Size & Limits

Material Blank Size & Limits

Purpose

This guide is intended to standardize the material blank sizes used during quoting, design, production, and fabrication.
Standardizing sizes ensures consistency, material efficiency, and compatibility with common sheet stock.

Approved Standard Blank Sizes (in inches)
18" | 24" | 30" | 36" | 48" | 60" | 72" | 96"
These are the approved working dimensions for quoting, layout, and panel planning.
Select the closest size that provides optimal material yield and best suits the project requirements.

Maximum Size Constraints

  • Do not exceed 48 inches in both width and height simultaneously

  • Most substrates are stocked in standard 48" x 96" (4' x 8') sheets

  • Examples:
    ✅ 48" x 72" — Acceptable
    ❌ 60" x 60" — Not Acceptable

Exceeding these limits will require panelization and seaming. Which is not a problem, just something to be aware of.

Oversized Signage Guidelines

  • Signs larger than 48" x 96" must be broken into multiple panels

  • Seams will be visible and should be considered in the design process

  • Panel breaks and overlaps must be planned to ensure clean aesthetics and structural integrity

  • Inform clients during quoting if seaming will be required

Special Material Requests

  • Panels up to 60" x 120" may be available by special order

  • These requests are subject to additional cost and longer lead times

  • All special-size material must be approved by a supervisor prior to quoting or production
